Vitamin D may slow breast cancer progression 
High levels of vitamin D may help slow the progression of breast cancer, researchers suggested Tuesday. A small study of women with the illness found that patients with early breast cancer had higher levels of the vitamin than those with more advanced disease.

Charlotte Carkin stood in the back room at Wig Mart Reflections in Northwest Roanoke one morning last week, surrounded by boxes of bras and artificial breasts. “Show them the leopard skin, Kathy,” store owner Hilda Patterson called from the store’s front room.
